Goal 1: Build Pathways Objective 1.1 – Expand exploratory learning experiences and collateral materials that help traditional and non-traditional students understand career pathways and educational options, including college credit certificates, Associate degrees, Bachelor degrees, and beyond. Goal 2: Learning Assured Objective 2.1 – Create a campus-based team of faculty and staff from mathematics, communications, academic affairs, and student affairs to research and design a plan for implementation of a cohesive developmental education experience. The work of this team should build the essential knowledge for decision-making regarding the developmental education courses, including best practices for initial placement/assessment, pre- and co-requisites, use of supplemental learning and LinC, content/course construction, customized learning experiences, integrated support services for students, and measures of success. Objective 2.2 – Increase the percentage of students who complete the developmental education sequence in math, including MAT1033C Intermediate Algebra, within one year. Goal 2: Learning Assured Objective 2.3 – Create a campus-based team of faculty and staff from learning support services, academic disciplines, student affairs, academic affairs, and college-wide divisions to research and explore college success skills and the role of the Student Life Skills (SLS) discipline and rebranding SLS 1122 for broader use within the curriculum. The work of this team should build the essential knowledge for decision-making regarding student purpose, course content, re-alignment of mandates, and faculty development. Objective 2.5 – Expand curricular options for students to earn an honors credential. Strategic Activities Enhance Interdisciplinary Studies Honors Track within the Seneff Honors College by fully integrating curricular and co-curricular experiences to foster student scholarship, service, and personal development. Explore models for creating a program-based honors track within the Seneff Honors College.
Goal 2: Learning Assured Objective 2.6 – Explore implementation of an Undergraduate Research Center. The work of this team should build the essential knowledge for decision-making regarding a model, core competencies, learning outcomes, course development, university partnerships, resources, and best practices. Objective 2.8 – Refine library, instructional support, and technology resources and services to improve student learning and digital literacy. Align needs with the West Campus Technology Plan. Objective 2.9 – Create a campus-based team of faculty and staff from academic disciplines, faculty development, learning technologies, learning support services, and college-wide divisions to advance protocols and practices for quality online and hybrid learning. The work of this team should build the essential knowledge for decision-making regarding student readiness, course development, faculty development, course evaluation, and assessment.
Goal 3: Invest in Each Other Objective 3.1 – Establish a Center for Teaching, Learning, and Technology to support student learning, faculty innovation within the classroom, and employee development. Align needs with West Campus Facilities Plan. Goal 3: Invest in Each Other Objective 3.3 – Re-establish a Campus Engagement Hour for professional development, personal reflection, student activities, wellness, and enrichment. Objective 3.4 – Develop a co-curricular Student Leadership Academy to support students’ academic and professional development . Objective 4.3 – Deepen the campus’s awareness and adherence to sustainability principles and practices.
