  2. Growing up…… • I was born to my loving parents and named after my mother. • I’m a product of Richmond Public Schools RPS considering both my parents & grandmother worked there. I attended John B. Cary and Binford Middle School. • I attended the Governor’s School for Government & International Studies (GSGIS) and was the third graduating class in 1997. • On June 15, 1997 I started my college career at James Madison University.

JMU….College Life • I became a member of Delta Sigma Theta, Sorority Incorporated in Spring of 1999. • I’m a 4 & was given the name Quasar because through all my obstacles I ALWAYS shine my brightest. • I majored in psychology with a double minor in math & statistics. • After graduating in 2001, I continued with my studies to earn a Master’s in School Psychology and an Educational Specialist Degree.

  5. Real Life….I gotta J O B I work at Swansboro Elementary School & Boushall Middle School as the School Psychologist. I evaluate students to assess their cognitive abilities. Facilitate individual & group counseling sessions. I attend various meetings to assist teachers & students, including CSC & SBEC. I am a first responder to crisis situations. I am a resource to teachers, faculty, staff, students, and parents.
