Proposed new arrangements from 1st April 2010 • Establish Education Commissioning Group for Allied Health Professions • Examples of Membership of Group: • Representation from Public Heath Agency • Representation from DHSS&PS – HR and AHP Officer • Representation from each Trust • Establish an Education Commissioning Cycle for Allied Health Professions

  3. How do we achieve this? • Each profession to agree regionally collation and prioritisation of training needs (training plan with specified timescales) • Improve access to Multiprofessional courses for AHP staff • Each Trust manager to agree how information will be communicated to and received from Trust ECG representative • Develop an AHP commissioning cycle

  4. Timescales: November 09 – March 2010 • Each profession to agree communication pathways: Regionally Within Trust • By end March 2010, finalise and implement pathways and processes • Adhere to commissioning cycle time frames

  5. Benefits • Recognition of AHP training within Trusts • Build on relationships with other Healthcare professions • Improve access to multiprofessional courses • Promote role of Allied Health Professions through multiprofessional training
