  20. ALCOHOL FACTS • The average adult requires three (3) hours to oxidize one ounce of alcohol from the body. ( If a person were to drink two 12 ounce glasses of beer they will have consumed one ounce of alcohol, which would stay in their body for 3 hours.) • Alcohol leaves the body through the Lungs in a person’s breath, in the Liver through oxidation, and through the bladder in the form of urine. • Alcohol is an addicting depressing drug.
