Trends for passive components In Automotive Electronics • Longer components lifetime (10 years or 100.000 miles) • Higher operating temperature(150°C-170°C for under the hood applications) • Greater vibration frequencies • Higher operating voltages(42 volt - Dual voltage system 14-42 volt batteries )

Integrated Starter Alternator The system combines the functions of the starter and alternator in a single intelligent electric motor • Advantages: • Reduced Fuel Consumption (15-20%) • Lower emissions • Replacement of conventional components • The vehicle starts noiselessly • Automatic start-stop • High power output • Reduced vehicle vibration • Higher inboard voltage 42V

  5. CAMLESS VALVE OPERATION SYSTEM Each valve is operated by an electromagnetic actuator, independently from the other valves. Advantages: Reduced fuel consumption (15-20%) and emission benefits without any effect on performance

  15. Keyless Entry System Hand free entry system using an electronic card. The system consists of a receiver and transmitter units (antennas) e-latches and a control unit .
