ITV (Interactive Television) • Purpose of Interactive Television • To provide access to, and distribute academic programs originating from Minnesota State University, Mankato to remote located students through out the state of Minnesota. • To Supplement and support students using other forms of distant learning opportunities, such as on line learning. • ITV rooms AH 322/TR E224 • ITV related services: • Schedule ITV class time, rooms and facilities at MSU and remote receive sites • Provide specialized technology for instructors

Video Production Studio • Purpose: To instruct and assist faculty in the use of digital video production hardware and software. • Video programs available: • iMovie (Mac) • Movie Maker (PC) • Pinnacle Studio 9 • Camtasia • Visual Presenter • Snag it • Others
Instruction and Services • Instruction: • Digital Video production techniques • Digital Video editing techniques • Gold Wave Analog to digital audio processing • Video support: • Assist faculty in the development of video clips for use in off line and on line class presentations • Development of special video campus wide projects such as MSUM’s convocation video, recruitment videos for departments and colleges • Assist faculty on their video projects in the lab • Advisement on purchases of video equipment for faculty (cameras, editing software, computer specifications etc)

Multimedia Classroom Projects • Created and started to implement a 4 year recycling plan this year. • Working closely with facilities for upgrades and remodels. • Creating specialized classroom upgrades for particular departments. • Faculty Training • Audience Response Systems • E-control • Surplus Auction
Ongoing Classroom Support • Classrooms require a high level of support and maintenance. • Bi-weekly room checks • Our goal is to respond to a problem in a classroom within minutes of a call. • Help departments with non-standard equipment trouble shoot any problems they may have. • Offer training on how to use the equipment and incorporate it into the classroom.
