Well , is not this amazing ? !This kind of carving originated in the early Tang Dynasty . During the Song Dynasty is the craft reached the stage of art, and in the reign of the Ming and Qing carving reached its heyday . It is also called " white forest " as masters are keen to show the natural beauty of wood.You just see how harmoniously tree structure "fit" these "pictures" .Dongyang - is the center of one of the four main schools of carving in China.
