  2. History Lectrix has been developed within the Faculty of Classics at the University of Cambridge in association with Cambridge University Press. Its initial purpose was to assist first-year undergraduates at the Faculty, but it has since been developed to support a wide range of teaching and learning applications. The software has been extensively trialled by students in several countries. Texts The texts have been chosen because of their suitability for use with students who have only completed an introductory course in either language. It is envisaged that the number of texts on offer will be expanded on a regular basis. Greek Texts: • Lysias Orations (selection) • Plato Ion • Sophocles Antigone • Euripides Medea Latin Texts: • Cicero Catilinarians I-II • Virgil Aeneid IX • Ovid Heroides (selection) • Apuleius The Tale of Cupid and Psyche Each text is supported by a dictionary, a grammatical parser, an English translation, basic and advanced commentaries, and a library of web pages with background material on grammar and context. cambridge.org/online/lectrix Innovation in e-publishing
