  3. Community vision, continued • develop partnerships (e.g., schools, business, faith community, local government, health professions, social services, public safety, KALBOH, KDH) • establish priorities • create accountable work groups around each priority to be addressed • implement and measureresults • monitor resources and progress; maintain accountability

Community vision, continued • maintain full transparency and COMMUNICATE with all stakeholders • perform data-driven evaluation and continuous process improvement • continually scan the environment and change as indicated • continually recycle all processes based on what is working • seriously and aggressively pursue accreditation

  5. What can the Friedell Committee do to facilitate that vision and those actions? • sustain state level engagement (KDH, KALBOH, academia, KY Chamber of Commerce et. al.) • build a State task force including all project partners to address Board orientation and continuing education, technical assistance to local departments, establishing consistent expectations of local board performance (individually and collectively) and promoting accreditation • build a 'local' task force or advisory group consisting of interested citizens and local board members to advise and promote the work of the grantee communities • facilitate multiple relevant convenings of task forces and grantees
