  3. Try Jesus Seminar Commencing 25 July there will be an 8 week “Try Jesus” Seminar at the church, incorporating Cell Group study as well. This is a unique opportunity to draw closer to each other and the Lord through studying our marvellous Saviour Jesus!

If you have a heart to be a part of this ministry please simply email this address and say ok.   7. During the month of August, there will be a combined Teen and Older Teen Sabbath School in the hall run by the Youth. Teen - Youth Sabbath School

  8. Time : 6PM @ Oakleigh Polish SDA Church. Featuring: LAA Choir, Joyful Singers, Clifford & Jean-Luc Sardes and Nadia Widuch. Youth who visited India last year will also be sharing their testimonies of the trip. All funds raised will go towards a School and Vocational Centre for orphans and villagers in Orissa, India under the care of Jacob's Well. A free-will offering will be taken during the program and a cake sale will follow.   9. Can you play the piano? The Beginners Sabbath School class needs volunteers to help with the music each week. Please talk to Jane Hill or Nicole McMahon for more details if you are willing to help out on our roster. Help Wanted:

  10. A well-researched and beautifully photographed book by Don McMahon "Historical and Significant Bridges of Australia". All proceeds from the sale of the first 100 books go to our Church Building Extension fund. Only $20 and makes a great Father's Day present. Please see Nicole, Sue or Vladka for your copies.   11. The law requires that volunteers working with children MUST have a current WWC Check. Incoming Department Leaders please check your team members have shown their current card to Jane Hill (Safe Places Co-ordinator).   12. We are searching for another team of 15 to head over to India again this year! Applications are now downloadable at www.vicyouth.com Applicants must be 18yrs or over, be able to travel for 2 weeks in Nov/Dec, have a valid passport, and most importantly, have a passion for Jesus and sharing His love with others.   13. The Youth Resilience training will provide leaders with info on ADRA’s new Resilience Programme and equip them with the tools needed to identify ways to help youth develop resilience. The presenter, Rita Karraz is the National Programme Development Manager for ADRA Aus.   14. In 2008 The AUC produced over 200 episodes of Australian content to be shown on Hope Channel. During July and August, they plan to shoot another 100 episodes. There is a need for the following volunteers: Carpenters/ Set Builders, Make Up Artists, Production Assistants, Electricians. Please email: donmadden@adventist.org.au Project Hope

  15. What are the two basic needs that we at Wantirna can provide? 1). Bring non-perishable food items to FTG on a Monday before 1pm, for distribution 1-3pm. 2). Help with interviewing clients and handing out food vouchers from 1-3pm Monday’s (except public and school holidays). Can you help?? Please speak to Sylvia Mendez on 0401 219 037.
