The Wall Standing upright Ever vigilant Locked by day Free at night Searching for life Hiding from death Making no noise Holding my breath Free as a bird But chained by love As angels stand by Stone eyes from above
The Ride Twirling swirling keeping stride Horses whirling side by side Round and round through cold and snow Greedy eyes watch the show Girls with gold hair They gaze and they stare At boy with brown skin, brown eyes and brown hair Always a watcher Never a ride Beautiful swift mount With cold dead eyes
Family Never belonging, never knowing Fathers laugh, mothers sewing Names for all, but not for you Unwanted, unkempt, not even a Jew Fertile soil, but never grow Lots to eat, no weeds to hoe Then rocky soil, but faces smile Open arms to embrace a child The flower blooms In conditions bare During cold dark months A family to share
Jackboots Deceit in leather Straight and tall Ever gleaming, ever shining Long way to fall Power emitting Authority untold Seducing a nation By actions so bold Evil in word Loyalty abounds They march in time Rhythmic in sound
