Guidance: to support MS that don't provide gridded emissions yet Informing: to provide information sources to MS that don’t provide & MS that already provide gridded emissions Transparancy: for EMEP/CEIP & users of the gridded EMEP emissions Objectives • Purpose of the chapter: • Indicate what is good practice, what is available, and how to elaborate?

Guidance: Generic (terminology, geographic features, basic principles, …) Introduce a stepwise more detailed approach Examples Key spatial data sources Referring to existing studies Good practice Development Plan Transparancy • Informing: • Studies performed over the past few years • E-PRTR diffuse emissions study (University of Stuttgart) • MACC emission inventory (TNO) • EDGAR (JRC) • …
