Giving the little Cirrus a human touch Emirates Airlines also welcomed another new member to their fleet of aircraft on the occasion of receiving their 100th Airbus A380 airliner-a small CIRRUS training aircraft for their upcoming pilot training academy. To mark the case, a concept was created by their formidable marketing and corporate relations department to create a film focused on CIRRUS meeting its Big Brother. "It's cool to have a big brother" was the tagline for this commercial, and the idea was to show a curious CIRRUS trying to discover his new home at Emirates. Our marketing team was excited to be part of this extra-special project that looked very basic. But as we all know no good movie comes out with ease and this movie was no different. The challenge was to convey the emotions of an aircraft through visual storytelling as if it were a human being. We had no voice-over or animation, so before sunset, we had to shoot in the real airport setting without disrupting the tight schedules so regulations. However, we managed to give little CIRRUS a human touch with the help of our talented Production & Post-Production teams, and showcased the human side of Emirates Airlines in everything they do. The result – a 30-second version of the entire film launched on the Facebook page of Emirates and Instagram which took off with great delight, winning public adoration with unparalleled organic results.
