Arrivals and Dismissal Arrivals • Kindergarten doors open at 8:00. • Early arrival allows for a smooth transition. • Someone must walk the child to the classroom door. • After walking child to class and helping them with their morning routines, parents say good-bye and leave children to choose their morning activity. • Warning bell 8:27. Final bell 8:30 • After 8:30 you MUST walk your child to the office for a tardy slip. • When your child is absent, call the attendance hot line each day. Dismissal • At 1:20, the Kindergarten dismissal time, 1st-3rd grade is still in session. The K playground and the big blacktop are closed until 2:30.
Wellness Policy • 10-11 hours of sleep • Healthy snack, every day, even if your child is having hot lunch. • Healthy food for parties. • Breakfast is essential for learning.
