The Port of Bar • Port of Bar Container Terminal and General Cargo – joint stock company with the Government of Montenegro as majority holder (54% shares). Currently under privatization, working under concession of the Montenegro Port Authority • Capacity – 2 million tons of cargo • Modern and healthy infrastructure – good rail connections • Good expansion potential • Poor road connection with the gravitational field 4
The Port of Durres • Durres Port Authority • Biggest port of Albania • 78 per cent of maritime trade at national level • Well positioned for Corridor VIII, good new road connection to Skopje and Pristina • Very poor or not existing rail connection with the gravitational field 5

Current capacity Investments – PLAN Bar Durres Project for the new area for the accommodation of the empty containers, approximately 24,300 m2 Supply of mobile cranes and STS cranes – planned in 2013 Reconstruction of the southern coast of Wharf 1, implementation of the forehead of Wharf 1 • acquisition of machinery : 2 reach stacker, 4 trailers, 1 spreader for 20’- 40’ containers • Planned implementation of a software - Container Terminal Operation Information System • New 54 reefer connections for reefer containers • Investments in the separation of the available storage space. 8
Additional info Bar Durres • The entire area of AD "Container Terminal and General Cargo" has the status of Custom Free Zone. • Possibility to berth simultaneously 9 different types of vessel at docks under international rules. • Road and rail connections to each storage, vessel berth and warehouse • NEW! Serbian FIAT car production going via port of Bar, 90% on rail from August 2012 • Slow and not attractive (Container terminal together with General Cargo) privatization process • Poor road connection • No possibility for expansion, the port is located in the middle of the town • Very low draft and need for continuous dredging of the entry channel • Very poor railway infrastructure to Macedonia, no railway connection to Kosovo or Southern Serbia • Good road connection to Macedonia and Kosovo • Future highway planned to connect Pristina with Southern Serbia? 11
