Projects of National Significance • Projects of National Significance (PNS) are short-term projects (one to five years) that address the most pressing issues affecting individuals with developmental disabilities and their families.

Emergency PreparednessExamples • Methods for evacuation to a safe location and rapid reunification with families • Provision of medications or durable medical devices • Assist individuals with developmental disabilities and their families with developing personal disaster kits
Family Support 360 • Annually, each grant is to assist 20 families in year one, and 40 families each year in the second through fifth years via a one stop center. • A one-stop center serves as a centralized location to access a wide range of services
Family Support and Demonstration Projects • Rely on collaborative efforts and community-based solutions to reach unserved and underserved families • Each project includes a rigorous evaluation plan to demonstrate that the stated outcomes have been achieved
National Autism Resource and Information Center • Resources will be created and gathered, relevant to the target population • The center will provide information via its website (www.autismnow.org) and webinars • Regional summits will be convened to build relationships with diverse stakeholders, and to share relevant information
