Ideal-ist project objectives Reinforcing the network of national contact points for ICT in Horizon 2020 : EU15, EU12, AS & Contact Points from 3rd countries • Identify, understand and share good practices • Include practical initiatives to benefit cross-border audiences • Collaboration and Networking with similar projects in parallel themes in the context of joint/coordinated calls • Special attention on less experienced NCPs • Support potential proposers during the whole process “project idea focusing to successful proposal submission”

Step2 Step1 PS is checked by local representative & Quality Team according to subjective & objective criteria: Quality Label Proposer inserts a new Partner Search online -------- Step6 PS is closed & Proposer fills in feedback form PS is published & distributed to subscribers of national mailing list (~85,000 contacts) Step3 Proposer replies to EoIs (Standard reply form) & chooses partner(s) to build consortium (98% success rate) Step5 Potential partner send EOIs (Expression of interest) to proposers (on avg. 50 per PS) Step4

Ideal-ist Success in FP7 Partner searches initiated: 1,100 Partner Searches Quality Check: 70% of these are quality labelled Partner searches published: 610 Partner searches Expressions of Interests: All together 24,880 EoI (avg. of 40 EoI/PS) Accepted as partner 95% of these PS found partners

Launching Partner Search Service via Ideal-ist means • to increase awareness • to reduce barriers to future participation • to present the potential • to receive guidance on how to get started in Horizon 2020 • to find specific expertise • to find partners abroad • to create an added value with a new partner • to find a coordinator • to expand into another challenge • to get support by the Quality team to increase the chances to submit a proposal and get funded

Partner Search System Includes the following: • Targeted to actual calls • Type of information requested • Call identifier, research objective, instrument, evaluation scheme • Proposal outline– objectives, keywords • Partner profile sought – required skills, expertise, work to be carried out, type of partner sought, coordinator sought • Your FP experience (participation, coordination) • Partner searches are Quality checked!
