Conclusion - Hand is a productivesource (and target) domain forfigurativeexpressions. • This fits the view thatenactiveembodiment is the basis forcognition and language. • Furthercross-linguistic research is needed to understand the balancebetweenuniversals and culturalvariation in the role of the hand in conceptualization.
