Lifts Directive 2014/33/EU • The mandatoryEssential Health and Safety Requirements (EHSRs) define the safety objectivesto be attained • A liftmust complywith the EHSRs when it is placed on the market • Voluntaryharmonised standards (hENs) or parts thereof the references of which have been published in the OJEUcan be used to benefit from the presumption of conformity
Standardisation request m/549 • Requests CEN to draft hENsin support of the implementation of EHSRslaid down in Annex I to Directive 2014/33/EU, and as relevant in Annex I to Directive 2006/42/EC on machinery • Listof hENs is given in Annex II to M/549 • hENsshall meetrequirements(priorities) given in Annex I to M/549 and each hENmust include a clear and precise Annex ZA
