Physiological Dependence Addiction Even though they know it is bad for them, people need and want the drug all the time and have trouble coping without it. The body feels good because of a drug and has trouble feeling good without it. Withdrawals- shake, tremble, itch, feel sick. Chem Ed Important Terms Psychological Dependence Tolerance In order to cope with everyday stress, conflicts, and decisions, the person needs the drug; cannot mentally function without it. Withdrawals- cry, scream, aggression, depression. When the body needs more and more of a drug to get the same effect.
