According to the Scriptures Neh 8: 9, 10 …Mourn not, nor weep (Gratitude) …Eat the fat, and drink the sweet, Rejoice) and send portions unto them for whom nothing is prepared… (Benevolence) neither be ye sorry; for the joy of the LORD is your strength. (Trust in God’s love and care)
Worry an enemy to happiness • Worry is like a rocking chair, it keeps us moving but gets us nowhere.
Warriorvs. Worrier • Listens to his commander • Does not concern himself with the results • Makes choices based on commands • Enjoys surety of steps • Listens to suggestions • Concerned about results • Makes choices based on foreseeable consequences • Worries that the next step may be a landmine.
Warrior vs. Worrier • It is in God’s hands • My Bible is my modus operandi • It’s in my hands • My views and feelings is my modus operandi
Warrior • 2Tim 2:4, 3 No man that warrethentangleth himself with the affairs of this life (worries); that he may please him who hath chosen him to be a soldier. • Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ.
HOW? Happiness is actually a safeguard to health? Happiness describes the state of mind. Health describe the state of body. Holinessdescribe the state of the spirit. Each a safeguard of the other.
WHY? Why is happiness a safeguard? If we are not happy, how then can we be holy or healthy? It is a good starting point.
