Achievements 2000- 2006 • £400m spent • 637 directly supported projects • 385,449 beneficiaries supported • 116,617 have gained a qualification • 35,911 have gone into employment • 13,951 companies supported

First round commissioning - £59m • We have 25 specifications covering up to 40 contracts: • Adult - £14.3m over 6 contracts • Youth - £12.5m between 11 and 14 contracts • Employer - £26m over 10 contracts • Other - £6.4m over 14 contracts

Priority 1 Outputs and Results 2007-2010 • Total number of participants 48,000 • Number of unemployed and inactive participants supported 37,000 • Number of NEETS and those at risk of becoming NEET supported 15,000 • Participants into work on leaving 4,200 • NEETs into education, employment or training on leaving 6,750
Priority 2 Outputs and Results 2007-2010 • Total number of participants 62,000 • Number of participants gaining basic skills 10,000 • Number of participants gaining Level 2 10,000 • Number of participants gaining level 3 2,500
