  2. El condicional • To talk about what you could, or would do, use the conditional tense. • The conditional helps you to talk about what wouldhappen under certain conditions. • The conditional is used to make polite requests.

  3. El condicional • Like the future tense, -ar, -er, and –ir verbs all have the same endings that are added directly to the infinitive. -ía -íamos infinitive-ías -ía -ían

  4. If the verb has an irregular stem in the future, use the same stem in the conditional. decir dir- hacer har- poder podr- poner pondr- querer querr- caber cabr- haber habrá saber sabr- salir saldr- tener tendr- venir vendr- valer valdr- Los irregulares

  5. Los ejemplos • Yo estaría a favor de comprar flores para embellecer la comunidad. (I would/could be in favor of buying flowers to beautify the community.) • Siempre diríamos la verdad. (We would/should always tell the truth.) • ¿Te gustaría ir al cine conmigo? (Would you like to go to the movies with me? • Note: The conditional form of haber is habría (there would be).

Mi familia salir al restaurante del San Ángel Inn. 6. Tú mandar tarjetas postales a todos tus amigos. 7. Mi abuela buscar el museo de Frida Kahlo. 8. Yo estar muy contenta allí. 9. Mis tíos nos poder ver porque viven en México. 10. Mi madre y yo comer muchas enchiladas de mole.
