  7. Reflection (critical understanding of culture and power) • and Experiential learning (relating own experience to theory/research) • as a basis for Liberating growth (integrating individuality and connectivity)

  8. Experience needs a place in academia: learning is permanent and multifaceted

  9. Liberating faculty from measurement culture

  10. Different approach to academia and scholarship Whole person central: Multiple experiences and identifications

No faculty or student profile (no measurement and fitting into a pre-shaped model) • Critical reflections on (own) cultures and power • Non-conformity automatically attracts diversity in all respects • Experiential learning (cognitive, social, emotional) • Meritocracy nurtures standardization and homogenization • Homogeneity is a myth – no human being exactly the same as another • ‘Other’ is a myth: no human being/group is totally different from others • (Shared) Experience and empathy as a basis for human connectivity • Leading students and learning can/should be liberating for all parties involved
