Biocode Objectives (pilot) • Engage participants and collaborators in the planning process • Evaluate challenges and determine cost-effectiveness for select taxa • Develop biodiversity informatics framework necessary for transparent and efficient biocoding • Develop protocols for field genetics in Moorea • Generate preliminary data at: • A. species level (morphological and genetic barcodes) • B. population/individual level (microsatellites, SNPsters, etc.) • Produce detailed strategy for completing Moorea Biocode and expanding (Pacific/global) with funding from various sources
