Frederick Douglass1818-1895 • He lived in Maryland and was also a slave. • Hetaughthimself how to read and write the more he read the more he wanted freedom. • He wanted equal rights for everyone. • He escaped on a train to New York City.
Susan B. Anthony1820-1906 She gave speeches She was a teacher Women could not vote but she did. Quaker church Boys and Girls are equal She got arrested! She wanted peace
