In your conclusion never… • say “I hope you liked, the end, that’s my essay about…” • introduce new information.
Never start sentences with… • F.A.N.B.O.Y.S.-for, and, nor, but, or, yet, so.
Besides spelling, what can you do to check conventions? • Check to make sure you have the correct homophone. • Make sure each sentence has a capital letter. • Make sure each sentence has an end mark. • Make sure proper nouns/adjectives are capitalized. • Make sure you’ve checked comma usage.
