Weekly Message Dear Parents, We have wrapped up our introduction to early explorers, and we have moved into our study of the 13 colonies. Through this unit, we will continue to draw comparisons by asking the question, “What inspires people to explore new regions?” We will also discuss the different geographical features of the original colonies and how this impacted trade and commerce. In reading we are beginning Holes by Louis Sachar. Your child needs to be responsible for keeping up with his/her loaned book. There will be a reading and writing assignment each night. Please check over your child’s work to make sure they are doing their best. Thanks for all your support! Mrs. Vaughn
