Importance of IT in lives of disabled people You can see the graph that shows the percentage of disabled people. As you can see about 40% of the male world population are disabled till the age of 24, and as the condition of the body is decreasing the percentage is getting higher, and so in the age of 75 and older, more then 80 percent of male and female are disabled. THAT CAN EXPLAIN WHY HANDICAPS NEED THE TODAYS TECHNOLOGY.
The way of using PC It is always interesting, how do they use PC • If you’re blind or visually-impaired, how do you read and interpret the text, graphics, menus, dialogue boxes, and other visual details on-screen? How do you read the legends on the keyboard? How do you read software documentation? What about multimedia? • If you’re deaf or hard-of-hearing, how will alert sounds (like error beeps) actually manage to alert you? How do you benefit from soundtracks found in multimedia? • If you have a mobility impairment that prevents you from moving the mouse or typing on a keyboard, what do you do? • If you have a learning disability like dyslexia, just how do you read and decipher all that colourful text onscreen?
TREATMENT TOWARDS DISABLED Handicaps and all people with some disabilities were always treated badly, in the time of world war people with disabilities were brutally killed, because there were no use from them. This treatment is now improving, there are many national projects, to improve the wealth and health of disabled.
Fighting for rights As the number of disabled increased, disabled started to form their one clubs and unions, and those unions were often fighting for their rights by demonstrations and publishing.
Stephan Hawking The greatest disabled person the world had ever seen- Stephan Hawking. Was born in 8 January 1942 (300 years after the death of Galileo). In Oxford, England, and died in 1961. In his life time he earned 12 scientist degrees, and is considered to be the greatest man on wheelchair. He is now honor of the disabled people, and is in some way a protecter of their rights.
