Should scientific research be subject to ethical principles, or is the pursuit of scientific knowledge intrinsically worthwhile? Step 1 Genetic research Step 2 Animals experimentation
Genetic research Scientific research is a double-edged sword, depending on how people use it. In many cases, the fault lies not with scientific research itself but rather men’s intention to misuse the discoveries of science. If genes are categorized by some scientists into grades, which is more likely to generate discrimination between people. E.g. scientists could either create a nearly perfect person, or they could cultivate an inferior person. What’s more, ethical issues will rise if scientists change human beings’ genetic code. Genetic research is basically of how heredity affects living beings”. Generally, it is very beneficial to the origin of human beings., hereditary, diseases, and plants and animals are studied as well
Genetic code Genetic code means that the arrangement of genes that controls how each living thing will develop”. The person who suffers from the change of genetic code may be unlikely to look like other people.
Animals Experiments Secondly, another problem is about whether people should do experiments on animals. Admittedly, animals contribute to scientific research , in particular, medical experiments. Yet, it if unfair for animals because they have the same life rights as human. In general, animals are used for medical experiments which are injected into germs. Therefore , these animals infect diseases, including fatal medical conditions. Or animals are injected into growth hormones in order to satisfy people’s necessity. Absolutely, it is unhealthy for animals to grow up.
Too cruel!! In addition, animals more often than not are sent into small cages that are unreasonable for the health of animals. Some of them die in cages because of narrow space. In a word, animals are difficult to escape from death when they are used for scientific research.
Conclusion • Based on the above discussion, we must take into account ethic and moral before we start to do scientific research. It is too cruel and selfish to do scientific research without ethical principles. Human beings should have some resistance, otherwise, they will become evil.
