  3. Paperless Instructor Surveys Objective Simplify and standardize current instructor survey process and capture in a digital form. Concept Visually displays and validates classroom trends over time. Dates of Execution • Launch Guide Path • Input mock results • Review questions and results with CATC Chief and Branch Chief • Use next Instructor Workshop as training session • Integrate across all branches NLT 31 MAR • Mock results conducted (14 NOV) • as example of areas to be examined • Pilot scheduled to be conducted with 002-14 DTMS course starting 2 DEC

  6. Course Content Interpretation: The organization and exams should be evaluated

  7. InstructionalMethods 5 Interpretation: These results coincide with the instruction slides showing problems with teaching procedures.

  8. Course Materials 6 Interpretation: Course Materials reflect unsuccessful classroom content and unreinforced learning. PEs need to be evaluated.

  9. Instruction 9 11 Interpretation: Instructor approach to instruction needs to be evaluated

Instructor Training Workshop “Setting the Foundation” AAR review Objective Instructors who are prepared to conduct quality instruction by facilitating a forum for instructor cross talk. • Sustains • Good forum for exchange of ideas • Different perspectives were voiced • Small Group Instruction observed • All instructors assembled in one place • Rotation of locations • Instructor Suggested Topics • How do deal with problem students • Review ADDIE process • Clarity of CATC SOP • End of Course Surveys • Improvements • More of a sensing session than learning session • Discussions should have longer times allotted • Reduce group sizes (12-14 in each group) • Time Management /Tempo • Closing statements missing in group discussion • Did not meet all objectives

  13. Instructor Training Workshop-2 “Paperless Surveys” Overview Objective Introduce paperless surveys to instructors and examine how they will integrate into classroom. Instructor of the Quarter Incentive Program Overview Objective Instructors who conduct quality instruction are recognized, giving incentive to strive for excellence EOC paperless survey expanded to include Instructor Evaluation; Evaluations are filtered through rubrics to identify finalists • Incentives • Special recognition by Chief CATC • CG Coin Presentation • JMTC Certificate • Timeline • Tied to Paperless Launch Dates • Pilot during 3rd Quarter • Implementation by Beginning of 4th Quarter
