TAFSIP • Goal and Objectives: The Goal of the TAFSIP is to “contribute to the national economic growth, household income and food security in line with national and sectoral development aspirations”. • TAFSIP is a ten-year investment plan mapping the investments needed to achieve the CAADP target of six per cent annual growth in agricultural sector GDP. • TAFSIP is not a new agricultural development strategy or programme. • Development of the TAFSIP is a product of a broad based collaborative process involving key stakeholders

The New Alliance will drive private sector investment in African agriculture The New Alliance for Food and Nutrition Security will bring international donors, partner countries and private sector companies together to drive agricultural transformation, improve nutritional status and unlock sustainable economic growth. African governments make policy reforms and public funding commitments to promote investment Development partners align assistance against country-led policy reform agendas Private sector partners make concrete investment commitments aligned with country priorities
