  1. Final Project Meeting Logroño, February 5-8 Presentation by FRANCE

The CNAM in Pays de la Loire has : • 5 000 people trained every year. • 1000 teachers mostly coming from the business world. • 300 courses in industrial and tertiary fields. • 10 teaching departments • In open and distance learning : • 200 different credits in distance learning. • A tele-teaching platform : Plei@d • An examination success rate similar to face-to-face classroom courses.

  3. The CNAM priorities developed by the CNAM over the past include distance training and the I.C.I. (Information and Communication Technologies) used to training and offering students training and apprentice ship suited to there needs to a pathway for training and apprentice ship. Thus, Plei@d, a distance training platform developed by the CNAM Pays de la Loire, has been the main teaching base for distance training in the French CNAM network for 3 years. It is now being used outside the french CNAM network by many other training institutions in France.Using its expertise in both the training course design and distance learning, the CNAM has participated andconducted a variety of European projects.

As a partner of this project the CNAM is involved in joint development activities : • testing and analysing a distance training platform, • creating online learning tools, • participating in the creation and analysis of a learning tool data base, • using a collaborative work platform. • The CNAM carried out the analysis of the collaborative work and the use of the tools about the centre of cooperative work on BSCW (Master document n°4 and User’s guide of BSCW) .

  5. Our participation in the EKN project gave us real satisfaction : • Satisfaction in the co-production of a complex project on a European level. • Satisfaction in the realisation and outcome of ideas with varying objectives. • Satisfaction in the wealth of exchange on an international level : exchanges concerning culture, technical aspects and skills. • Satisfaction in the feeling that we have contributed to the consolidation of a Europe promoting partnership and exchange.

  6. E.K.N. has appeared several times in the CNAM regional newsletters as website. Resulting experiences from this project were also shared with partner institutions with common European projects. Two of them have now fully adopted EKN in their partnership.

  7. The outcome of this project and its recognised quality has made future European project partnerships a strong likelihood : ideas such as personalised distance training programmes in the field of risk analysis are already in the offing.Thanks for attention. Muchas gracias a todos y todas.
