  2. Adaptation • When an organism gets used to its environment. Warm clothes for cold weather Less clothes or smaller clothes for warm weather

  3. Camouflage • When an organism hides itself from a predator or to hunt prey. You wont be able to find him in there is camouflaged.

  4. Hibernation • When an organism sleeps for a long period of time, due to lack of resources. The bear is sleeping because its cold and there is a lack of resources.

  5. Dormancy • When a plant loses all of its leaves then grows them back, due to weather. During the fall the leaves turn orange, brown, red, yellow and fall off the tree.

  6. Migration • When organisms move from one area to another, due to weather, resources, or mating season. The moose is moving to warmer weather.

  7. Courtship • What an organism does to get a mate. The male on the right is dancing to impress the female.

  8. Regeneration • When an organism can grow back a body part. Starfish are one of the few organisms that can regenerate body parts.

  9. Learned • What an organism is taught. You are taught how to eat cereal.

  10. Innate • What an organism doesn’t need to be taught, instinct. Crying is an instinct you are not taught how to cry.

  11. Territoriality • When an organism marks their area with a type of scent, sign, or barricade. This dog is marking his territory by peeing on the tree so other dogs know it is his territory.
