The aims of the PhD in History of Europe • Analysis of the main cultures, economies and institutions on which the European historical and political profile, its bases and its international relationships, are set; • Analysis of national identity issues, such as the social and cultural integration of people and states; • Analysis of relationships between inter-European countries and macro-regional area (such as those between Mediterranean and Central-Northern European countries or between Western Europe and the Balkans) • Analysis of European historiographical debate
