  1. Effects of Nutrient Management and Fungicides on Soybeans in Southern Illinois S. A. Ebelhar, and C. D. Hart Ebelhar et al., 2005

  2. OBJECTIVES • Determine the effects of potassium, chloride, boron and manganese nutrition on the response of soybeans to diseases (possibly including Asian soybean rust) • Evaluate the nutrient interaction effects with and without the application of fungicides • Compare these effects across Roundup Ready and conventional herbicide programs. 25. SUMMARY • Foliar application of B and Mn increased the leaf composition of B and Mn, respectively, and caused some injury to the soybean plants but had no effect on yield. • Disease pressure was low, but was affected by variety choice and by fungicide treatment, but not fertilizer treatment at Dixon Springs. • Fungicide application at Brownstown caused some leaf injury and slightly reduced yields.
