Blackberry Service • Approximately 3000 Blackberry users • Servers currently at version 4.1 with SP4 • Reading encrypted Lotus Notes messages now supported • Servers to be upgraded this summer to version 4.1 with SP5 • Only version certified with Domino 8 • Supports many of the Notes 8 features, such as ghosted calendar entries

  5. Good Mobile Messaging (GMM) Service • Approximately 3000 GMM users • Completed server upgrades to version 5 • Reading encrypted Lotus Notes messages now supported

  6. iPhones • iPhone 2.0 • Security Functionality: • Provides Cisco client VPN access as a part of the OS • Provides enforced security policies, but only with Exchange • Provides "remote wipe" capabilities, but only with Exchange • Email Functionality: • IBM announced iNotes/DWA compatibility to be available with Notes 8.5/8.0.2, but……currently in Beta • Currently reviewing 3rd party solutions for “push” based email • Device Activation/Configuration: • Requires iTunes to activate and to install firmware updates

  8. Notes 7.0.3 Availability • Requirement for Vista workstations • Notes 6.x not Vista compatible • Made available on 03/03/2008 • Minor bugs exist when using JRAN • “JRAN Help” function does not work • Can’t print contacts • Idle timeouts do not function properly • No other problems reported

Notes 8.0.1 Plans • Server testing completed • Client testing began in June 2008 • Server deployments scheduled to begin Fall 2008 • SDSD will upgrade all “D” servers • SDSD will upgrade “A” servers in Salt Lake • Courts will upgrade local “A” servers • Once “A” and “D” servers for a particular court have been upgraded, 8 client can be deployed (optional)
