So let’s start with the masala powder first for our Kadai paneer recipe restaurant style: Take a Kadai and dry roast a few spices. Starting with1 spoon of coriander seeds, half spoon of pepper, a small piece of cinnamon, 2 bay leaves, 1 spoon of cumin seeds, 4 cloves, and 4 red chilies. Roast them for 5 minutes on medium heat till you get a nice roasted aroma. Turn off the stove and let it cool down. Then grind it to a fine powder. And your Kadai paneer special masala is ready. Now let’s get started with how to make Kadai paneer: Take a pan pour a little oil. Cut half onion into small wedges and one capsicum into small wedges. And them into the pan. Saute them for few minutes.

Cook this for 5 to 8 minutes on medium flame. The tomatoes are mushy. Turn off the stove when you see vegetables are cooked. Cool the mixture and grind it to a fine paste. To the same Kadaikadai, add 1 spoon of oil and 1 spoon butter. Add onion and tomato paste. Cook till the masala paste thickens. Now add one and half spoon of ground masala powder. 1spoon of red chili powder. 1 spoon salt. Mix it well and cook for a few minutes. Add fried onion and capsicum. Add I and half cups of water. Keep the flame on medium. Let the gravy cook for about 10 minutes. Add the fried paneer. And give it a mix Add 1 spoon of fresh cream and Kasuri methi. Gently mix it and your Kadai paneer is done. Serve it with tandoori roti or garlic naan.
