  2. SCS Process November: • Finalize jobs/housing targets December: • Projections 2011 Base Case • Finalize Performance Targets Now through February 2011: • Vision Scenario establishes an unconstrained scenario that meets the performance targets.

  3. Vision Scenario • Each county will provide input on places, policies and strategies for sustainable development by December 2010 through County-Corridor Engagement Process • Regional Advisory Working Group (RAWG) as well as CMA Planning Directors and other groups will provide input

  4. SCS County/Corridor Process • Dialogue will proceed in each county, using its own coordination structure • Planning directors will present purpose of SCS to city councils • Each county will provide input into the vision by December

  5. SCS County/Corridor Process County Coordination Examples • Contra Costa: Five Sub-regions and adopted Principles for Collaboration • San Mateo: Grand Boulevard Initiativewith C/CAG and County Housing • Santa Clara: VTA Working Groups with a Steering Committee of various countywide city organizations

  6. SCS County/Corridor Process Report to Councilmembers and Supervisors • Regional agencies will provide a template staff report that outlines the purpose of the SCS and gives an overview of the process for Planning Directors to adapt for presentation to their Councils

  7. SCS County/Corridor Process Input on Vision Scenario • Web-based collaborative platform • PDA Assessment data • Place Types framework • Local land use and transportation policies and strategies
