  2. Shop Rules and Procedures • Clothing Safety • Tool and Equipment Safety • Materials Safety • Chemical Safety • Workplace Behavioral Safety • Fire Safety • First Aid Procedures

  3. Clothing Safety • No baggy clothes • No open toed shoes • No Fringed jeans or pants • No loose jewelry

  4. MOST IMPORTANT • ALWAYS WEAR SAFETY GLASSES!!!

  5. Tool and Equipment Safety • Always Respect the Equipment • We will have demonstrations in the shop on the proper use of equipment

  6. Materials Safety • Wear gloves when handling rough lumber • Wear gloves when metal working • Always pay attention when someone is metal working because you don’t want to grab it while it’s HOT!!!

  7. Chemical Safety • Gas, Paint, Lacquer thinner, Mineral Spirits, WD-40, Oil, etc. are Flammable, SO BE CAREFUL!!!!! • ALWAYS WEAR SAFETY GLASSES!!!

  8. Workplace Behavior • Do not distract or crowd anyone while they are using equipment! • No Horseplay! • There is a 2 foot safety zone around all equipment.

  9. Fire Safety • Don’t start Fires!!! • Be careful with Hot Metal, It can start Fires. • Notify me Immediately if you see a fire.

  10. First Aid • First Aid Kits are in the Shop. • In case if Emergency call 911 from the phone in my office or I will call 911 on my cell-phone.
