  2. Location The tundra is located at the top of the world near the North Pole. Countries • Canada • Russia • Scandinavia • Siberia • India

  3. Latitude/Longitude Longitude: 30-90 Latitude: 33-66

  4. Climate Average Rainfall: Rainfall in many arctic regions totals 6 to 10 inches a years. This is less rain than falls on some of the world's greatest deserts! Average High temperature: 60 F Average Low Temperature: -30 F Seasonal Changes: The Tundra keeps a pretty low temperature all year. Even in mid July the temperature only reaches 60 F. Ice never goes away in the ground and is usually about five feet deep.

  5. Arctic Moss Producer Scientific Name : Calliergongiganteum Adaptations • To reproduce their offspring need to be wet to survive. That makes the Tundra a great place for this plant to grow since there is plenty water and ice year round. • It adapted to the incredibly strong winds because it grows near to the ground • It grows under water so it is protected from the drying winds and cold

  6. Bearberry Producer Scientific Name: Arctostaphylosuva-ursi Adaptations: • Since bearberry is a low growing plant it can stay out of the wind chill • fine silky hairs help to keep it warm • Leathery leaves help it survive the cold of the tundra.

White Tiger Consumer and Apex Preditor Scientific Name: Pantherafelidae Adaptations: • Incredible hearing and sight which, helps them when hunting in the jungle in the dark • Very large and can sneak up on prey more effectively • Long and sharp claws and teeth help catch prey and mark territory.

Snow Leopard Consumer Scientific Name: Uncia uncia Adaptations: • Use their tails for covering their body, nose, and mouth during times of sub-zero temperatures • Very large and furry paws, functioning both as snow shoes and padding against sharp rocks • Muscularity and agility with the ability to leap up to fifty feet horizontally and twenty feet vertically to catch prey.
