Subdural hematoma • Bleeding below the dura mater between the dura and the brain • Can involve arterial bleeding • Symptoms develop within minutes • Can involve venous bleeding • Symptoms develop over hours or even days
Subdural hematoma • S/S • Confused or slurred speech • Difficulty balancing or walking • Headache • Confusion • Loss of consciousness • Nausea and vomiting • Numbness • Seizures • Visual disturbances • Weakness
