TRADITIONAL BSN Prerequisites: • ANA 109 - Anatomy & Physiology for Nursing I • ANA 110 - Anatomy & Physiology for Nursing II • BIO 103- Basic Ideas of Biology • CHE 103 - Chemistry for Health Professionals • CIS/WRD 110 - Composition & Communication I • CIS/WRD 111 - Composition & Communication II • PSY 100 - Introduction to Psychology
TRADITIONAL BSN • Students must earn at least a "C" in all prerequisite courses, and have a minimum cumulative 2.75 GPAand a minimum science GPA of 2.75to be considered for admission into the undergraduate nursing program. • Anurse aide course must also be completed before the first semester of NUR courses.
SECOND DEGREE BSN Prerequisites: Bachelor's degree, cumulative 2.75 GPA on a 4.0 scale ANDan Average of 2.75 GPA for the following science courses with a minimum grade of "C" in each: • 3-credit course in human anatomy • 3-credit course in human physiology • 3-credit course in general biology • 3-credit course in general microbiology • 3-credit course in general statistics
SECOND DEGREE BSN AND: • 4-credit course in general chemistry/ One year of general college chemistry with a minimum grade of "C" in each course is also acceptable.) • 3-4 credit hour course in general psychology
RN-BSN Pre-requisites: • Graduation from an accredited nursing program, graduation from a diploma program, or graduation from an international nursing program with a minimum cumulative 2.50 GPA on a 4.0 scale for all college work.
RN-BSN **Associate degree must be from a college accredited by one of the Six (6) regionally accrediting associations: SACS MSACS NEASC NCA-HLC NWCCU or WASC
RN-BSN *A transcript evaluation is recommended before applying. There are no time limits on courses, if it appears on your transcript, UK accepts it.* Required courses: • 30 hours of nursing courses • Completion of UK Core (general education requirements)* You will probably need Statistics • 120 total earned hours
