Functions of Sub Department’s Treasurer • To help ministers complying with B.O.M and ATO requirements and regulations • Managing event-to-event finance administration • Preparing monthly or event journal for audit purposes • Preparing Reimbursement Form for Department’s Treasurer • Distributing the reimbursements

Basic guidelines 1. Complying Tax Invoice
Why a complying Tax Invoice Required ? • To enable us claiming GST to ATO as an input tax • To enable us reporting the correct input tax • To avoid any audit issues
What is a complying Tax Invoice ? • Must have “Tax Invoice” wording for invoice greater than $75 excluding GST • Or a receipt if the invoice is less than $75 excluding GST. • Issue date of invoice • Supplier Name • Must have supplier’s ABN# • Must specify item name • Quantity / Volume • Must specify “Total amount including GST” or “GST amount” • Must specify our church name and address as the payee if invoice is greater than $1000 ex GST
