Paul CÉZANNE - Paul Cézanne (19 de enero de 1839 – 22 de octubre de 1906), pintor francés postimpresionista, considerado el padre del arte moderno. - Fue un gran admirador de la obra de Delacroix, y esto se refleja en sus primeros cuadros. - Sus temas preferidos son las naturalezas muertas y los paisajes. - Sus pinceladas son anchas y consistentes. - Trata la naturaleza a base de formas puras. - Sus figuras van a tener esencialmente volumen.

Paul GAUGUIN - Eugène Henri Paul Gauguin (París, 7 de junio de 1848 - Atuona, Islas Marquesas, 9 de mayo de 1903) fue un pintor posimpresionista. - Es el hombre que hará del color su vehículo de expresión. - Es sus obras emplea el color en abundantes superficies planas delimitadas con línea negra. - El color se emplea de forma arbitraria, ya que pinta una realidad inventada - Sus obras son una exaltación de lo primitivo, de lo salvaje, pero con un tono poético.
