Summary Early Muslims suffer for many years, when Rasoollullah (PBUH) taught how Muslims should behave and how we pray many non-believers hated how Muslim pray and other good deed that Rasoollullah (PBUH) taught . So the non- believers started to do bad things to the believers and the Rasoollullah (PBUH).
When the Prophet(PBUH) started teaching Islam, few people believed him and became Muslims. Sadly, most of the people did not believe in Islam. People in Makkah used to worship idols and the statues. They had about 360 idols (Asnamأصنام) around and inside Al Ka’ba. They thought that worshiping false gods, would bring them closer to Allah (SWT), this is called “Shrik”, which means worshiping false gods, or anything other than Allah (SWT) This is the worst sin a person can commit Those Who did not Believe in Allah
Rasoollullah(PBUH) is here for you` Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) explained to the people of Makkah that he was there to help them learn what Allah wants from them. he told them that if they worshiped Allah alone and did good deeds, they would win Al-Jannah or paradise. But if you insisted on worshipping idols, and doing bad deeds they would be punished in Jahannam, hellfire. Part 1
Part 2 Many of them laughed at Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and refused to follow Islam. They told him that their fathers and grandfathers had taught them to worship the idols and they knew better than him. They told him that they would not leave the religion of their ancestors
Abu Jahl, The Father of Ignorance One of the worst enemies of Islam was a man called AmribnHisham. He used to abuse and kill or hurt people who became Muslims. He thought they would leave Islam if he bothered them. Quraysh used to call him “Abu Hakam”, which means the “father of Wisdom”. But becouse he refused to believed in Islam, the Prophet (PBUH) called him “Abu Jahl”, which means the “father of ignorance”. Abu Jahl was the worst Kafir in Makkah Part 1
Abu Jahl, the father of ignorance part 2 Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) tried his best to convince him to become a Muslim. He invited Abu Jahl to Islam many times, but he refused. Abu Jahl and the other leaders knew that Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) was truthful. But they were afraid that if they followed him they would lose their place as leaders. Their leadership was more important to them than pleasing Allah.
Yasir Family: Jannah is your home Abu Jahl and a group of his friends got angry when the family of Yasir became Muslims. Yasir , his wife Sumayyah, and their son AmmaribnYasir, all accepted Islam. Abu Jahl wanted them to leave Islam and worship his idols, but of course they refused. Abu Jahl tortured all of them in a very harsh way. The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) tried to stop Abu Jahl and his people but couldn’t, so he spoke to the family of Yasir and said “be patient family of Yasir. You are promised paradise.”
Yasir family: Jannah is your home part 2 Later, Yasir and Sumayyah died from harsh toture. Yasir and Sumayyah showed that they were strong Muslims and passed away as (Shudaaah’, martyrs). Ammar did not die and insisted to stay a Muslim.
AhadAhad BilarIbnRabah was a slave in Makkah to a man called UmayyahIbnkhalaf. He was from Abyssinia in Africa. Umayyah used to beat up Bilal to the desert and laid him down on very hot sand. They would whip him so hard. Sometimes, Umayyah would order that a big rock to be put on his chest. Bilal had strong belief in Allah (SWT) and kept on saying “Ahad, Ahad, meaning “Allah is one,Allah is one.”
AhadAhad part 2 Abu bakr felt very sad when he saw Bilal having such a hard time. He begged Umayyah to stop beating Bilal but Umayyah refused. So Abu Bakr offered to buy Bilal, and his matherHamamah. Umayyah agreed, and asked very high price. Abu Bakr accepted and bought Bilal and his mother with his own money. He st them free.
Words of WisdomHadeethShareef واللاهو فى اون يل ابدي ما كان ال ابدو فى اونياكهىه Wallahu fee awn ilabdi ma kan al abdu fee awniakheeh Abu Hurayrah reported that Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said: “Allah will help his servant, as long as he helps his brother”.
Ear of Abdullah IbnMas’ood Abdullah IbnMas’ood was one of the great Sahabah. He had a beautiful voice and used to read Al-Qur’an in a very beautiful way. One time, he wanted the people of Makkah to hear the words of Allah. He went to Al-kaabah and started to read qur’an in a loud voice. The Kuffer of Quraysh did not like that. Abu Jahl and other kuffer jumped on him and beat him up than cut his ear. Even thought he sufered very badly he continued to be a good muslim.
