5. Syllabus • Requirement: participation in language activities in class, H.W.(vocabulary study), and taking quiz. • Expectation: academic achievement of the following standards (slide #6)

9. Be Japanese persona • Call your classmate by Last name + san(suffix). • Call your instructor by his first name + sensei, or just “sensei.”

10. Survey • Pls take the survey (5 min). • When you turn it in, find the katakana charts. By using them, try to write your full name in katakana on the name tag.
