  2. IR means “to go” & it is an IRREGULAR verb

  4. El Presente del Verbo IR: (irregular in the present tense) yo tú usted, él, ella nosotros, nosotras ustedes, ellos, ellas voy vas va vamos van

  5. El Presente del Verbo IR The verb ir is generally followed by the preposition a (or the contraction al): yo tú usted, él, ella nosotros, nosotras ustedes, ellos, ellas voy vas va vamos van la fiesta a al + femenine noun + parque masculine noun

  6. Adónde is a question-asking word that indicates to wherewe are going. ¿Adónde + ir ? ¿Adónde vas? (To) Where are you going? ¿Adónde vamos? (To) Where are we going? ¿Adónde + van ellos/ustedes? (To) Where are you/they going?

  7. ¿Adónde? no es igual a ¿dónde? “¿Adónde vamos?” Nosotros vamos a la fiesta de cumpleaños de Pedro. “¿Dónde está Pedro?” Pedro está en la escuela.

  8. Contraction: a + el = al Yo voy a el doctor. Yo voy al doctor. ... al parque. ...al supermercado. ….al colegio …

  9. ¿Adónde van ustedes?: a + la = a la Nosotros vamos a la fiesta. ...a la biblioteca. ...a la ciudad. ...a la oficina. ...a la biblioteca.

  10. ¿Adónde vas?: Yo voy al banco.

  11. ¿Adónde va él hoy?: El va al colegio.

  12. ¿Adónde va Ud. hoy?: I’m going to the party. Yo voy a la fiesta.

  13. ¿Cómo van ellos? They go by bus. Ellos van en autobús.
