  2. Class Style Learning English expressions Reading practice and content discussion Aim To get used to reading English articles on environmental topics and to broaden your international outlook about them

  3. Goal Proficiency in reading English articles and understanding fully the English expressions in them. Proficiency Mastery of a specific behavior or skill demonstrated by consistently superior performance, measured against established or popular standards. http://www.businessdictionary.com

  4. Procedure • In the first half of the class (Nos.2-8), useful 200 English expressions are memorized and practiced. • In the later half of the class (Nos.9-15), class members will be divided into several groups (up to 8), and one group will be expected to make presentation together in front of other groups. Remaining members should give them comments or questions at least once in the class.

  7. Evaluation Evaluation (Total Score 200) is based on following points; • Achievement Test: 100 • Advance preparation for the class (ex. Reading aloud) and Participation for discussion: 20 • Report: 30 • Presentation: 30 (Contribution: 15 (Evaluation from group members), Quality of presentation: 15 (Evaluation from audience)) • Total self-study time by e-learning system: 20 (Score 20 for top 10 % in the class, 15 for following 20 %, 10 for following 30 %, 5 for following 20 %, 0 for 20%) Total score: more than 120 is C, more than 140 is B, and more than 160 is A, more than 180 is S.
