  1. Energy in Turkey Country : Turkey School : Deniz Yıldızları Technical and Vocational High School

  2. Wearehere ! :)

  3. Our school was established in 2006 in Darıca,Kocaeli. It’s a technical and vocational high school. In 2010 about 300 students graduated and they’re our first graduaters. About Deniz Yıldızları High School

  4. Thermical Sources

  5. There’re 43 million tons of petroleum in Turkey as useable. In our country’s seas 1.3 billion barrels of petroleum are found. Approximately 900 million of it was used. Import : 23.5 million tons Petroleum

  6. In Turkey 30.83 billion cubic meters of natural gas are used. Nearly all of the natural gas which is needed is imported. 19.65 billion cubic meters of it are taken from Russia.  Other countries from where natural gas is imported are Algeria(4.2 billion cubic meters) and Nigeria (1.2 billion cubic meters) Natural Gas

  7. Our country’s lignite resources are about 8.1 billion tons. Sixty-eight per cent of lignite reserves has low calories. Two third of it isn’t run. In 1970 coil searching works were stopped. Coal

  8. Re-Useable Sources Alternative Sources

  9. It’s a re-useable energy. There are a lot of hydroelectric power stations but they’re not enough when we compare with the amount of energy that we need. The new ones are still being built. When they are completed,we’ll produce higher amount of electricity using them . Hydroelectric

  10. Then the need of energy to other countries will decrease. Last year eighteen per cent of electricity was produced. Hydroelectric Atatürk Barajı

  11. The east side of Turkey is mountainous. So this part is very useful for water power. Turkey’s water power potential is about 400 billion kwh. After completing the GAP(South East Anatolian Project), water power will increase. Water Power

  12. Turkey has the best possibilities for solar energy. We produce heat energy by the help of solar energy. Solar energy is especially used in these regions . Mediterranean Aegean Central Anatolia Southest Anatolia. Solar Energy

  13. Geothermal energy is an energy which is extracted from heat stored in the earth. It’s a re-useable,cheap, safe and green-friendly energy. In 1963, Turkey’s first Geothermal energy central was opened in Bornova,Izmir. Geothermal energy

  14. Geothermal energy comes out from the cracks in the Earth ‘s surface.Turkey’s ground shape is suitable for geothermal energy. We are in the first five countries about the application of geothermal heat and thermal baths. Geothermal energy

  15. Wind power station • In our country there are some wind power stations but they are not enough when we compare with our possibilities.

  16. All in all In 2009 • Forty-five per cent of natural gas, • Thirty per cent of coal, • Twenty per cent of hydroelectric, • Four per cent of liquid fuel and • One per cent of renewable sources were used to produce electricity which was needed.
